How much spoileron does it take for harriers?
John
NONE , Josh flew his NEW H9 Sukhoi today at a fun fly we attended in Fresno, CA. Beautiful weather. Any how we have no mixes of any kind with the model. Josh was doing harrier rolls and harriers without issue.... We have the model balanced about 1-1/2" behind the tube, 3W-100 power...
If you want to try it, dial in about 15% and go from there. You may find flaps to be more helpful. Kinda depends on YOU, the model, CG and power...

1-1/2" BEHIND the tube? Or behind the center of the tube??
Isnt that a little far back? Need A LOT of down trim to fly?
Mine is only 3/4" BEHIND the tube itself. Think Ill gain anything moving it back more?
I was asking about the harriers because it seemed to rock quite a bit with out them on. Maybe its me?
Thanks!!

1-1/2" behind the tube is were it came out they way I rigged it. And that's with two 1400 5-cell JR NiCads in the toward the front of the motor box with the rudder servos in the tail.
Mike McConville told me the updated and correct CG is around 11/16" behind the tube.
Move your CG back a little and see what happens.

I am not using them anymore in harriers. I can get the nose up a lot higher without them. (obviously)
I do use them however for pop up maneuvers like Walls and Terminators.
(H9 33% Cap)
I should have a Vid for viewing in the next few days.
