Default Warbird Radio Antennae and Wing Guns

While over at a bud's house I saw some thin paintbrush handles sticking out of his garbage can. Hmmm... With a little manipulation and paint they'd make decent wing guns!

After tidying up the fishing stuff in my truck I cam across a broken plastic stick bobber. I pulled the Styrofoam float off... low and behold-a radio antenna for my .60 size Spit! Just about scale too.

Hey, I admit these things may not be the best of choices but when they're painted and flying who'll know!?
A bag of 4 stick bobbers costs about $2 at K-Mart.

Always looking for uses for things.........

Default Great Ideas

Great ideas about using the paint brushes as machine guns. I am building the TF Spitfire (.60 sized) and was wondering how in the world I was goinf to shape 2 dowels exactly the same to form the wing cannon fairings. You just gave me the solution!

Default Mast's/Guns

You'll be surprised at what a plastic pen or mechanical lead pencil body can produce. Collect an assorted of these. Some have that perfect taper for a antenna mast or a gun barrel. I usually pull off the chrome tip and sand it square to form the fluted muzzle of a turrent.
