Any experience on Miniflash from Mountain Models?
Has any one built and flown on of these? How do u rate it please as a fun parkflyer for 3D aerobatics. Is it good in mild windy conditions? Does it need brushless for 3D performance?

I have built a MiniFlash, ready to cover. I have also built and flown its sister-ship.. the Switchback 3D.
In a nutshell, Mountain Models are fabulous kits. Excellent laser cutting and great instructions. Great value IMHO.
For true 3D, I think you will need a brushless. I am flying a GWS EPS300C-D turning a 12x6 prop in my Switchback, which will just hover the airplane. It's a couple ounces lighter than the MiniFlash.
Here's a pic of my MiniFlash with the optional "speed" wing, which makes it fly more like a pattern plane. The wings simply plug in and are easily interchangeable.

And here's a pic with the standard 3D fun-fly wings. They're constant-cord and thicker airfoil for slow, close-in aerobatics. They also have larger ailerons.

I saw a few of these fly already and they fly really well. You would need brushless to have it fly 3D and hover. The stock 300 wouldnt do it, just make it a nice sport plane. The one I saw fly with brushless at the Neat Fair was 3D. A Hacker B20-15L geared or geared mega 16/15/3 would do the job for it. Check out the RRC Edge 540. Its 3D with teh stock motors. Its a really good and fun flying plane. www. radicalrc.com
