OK guys, since I have no idea how many people will attend the Houston Fun Fly , I made up this poll, so you can just vote if you are going. So everybody who is going please select a choice. I need a count in order to buy some things. Hope this works and everybody sees this thread.

Shoot I even tried to sign up as a Pro Bro just in case there are any perks...but yahoo won't let me sign up..oh well.

Nononononono.......the head count is for food and soda purchasing purposes, as well as a count so I can make reservations at the Restaurant for Saturday night.

Billy, I think we need to help Chuck or is it Jeff (who knows is real identity ?), so he can become a member of the pro bro hood. WHy exactly doesn't yahoo let you sign up ? Do they know you ? LOLROTF

Default Houston

A couple of us "brothers" are coming up from Corpus Christi. We are staying at the Red Roof Inn on I-10. I am finishing up another profile, a Sudokoi, for the event. We lost our main flying field and the weather has been too bad to go to the others, so I'm hoping to get some flights in this weekend. We will probably be in Houston about 3:00 pm on Friday. Any chance of getting some flying time in that afternoon?

Oh yeah..Everybody knows me, right??

I don't know..it just won't take my password. And I used a bogus name and zip when I signed up (from another address) and can't remember my bogus zip to change my password.

So I'm hosed, unless I want to be skankyoldhide LOL (inside joke between Ulf and me)

LOLROTF,

The Red Roof Inn is going to have their hands full that weekend.

There are obviously several Brothers going to be staying there along with the "Dog Show"!

Will be there all week so might as well stay for the festivities. Not sure where I will be staying yet. Already have a room booked for the week in Baytown, but not sure I want to drive clear across Houston just to fly.

Default Place to stay...

An RC event won't swamp them, but the dog show in Houston that weekend will. Hope you don't have to sleep with the dogs LOL.

Here ya go Avigator http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...644&forumid=21

This should be a 4 hours or less drive for you, gather some buds and come on over.

I know of 5 people that are coming that are not on-line and will not show votes.

The field is in a public park and is open daylight hours, so flying Friday is OK. Something to take in consideration.......Saturday and Sunday, the Pro Bro has the field and we can do what we want, more specifically fly the way we want to fly, however Friday you will have to fly in the pattern and/or be extremely courteous to any type of hovering and 3D flyn..

Looks like we will have a nice crowd coming out. We will have a hoot, and make this thing unforgettable. There are 3 more pilots in the Brotherhood but not on RCU that will join us. This is not counting a bunch of local flyers as well as the people showing up without letting us know in advance.

Friday afternoon flying shouldn't be a problem at all. I will be at the field to look if everything is fine, then I will meet the Memphis Dog Show Gang and who ever wants to join us that day for dinner (BTW, yes we do have Steaks in Houston and the Saturday night dinner & get together will be at a close by Steakhouse called Logans) and some after-dinner drinks.

BTW, let's have a little swap meet going on in the parking lot during the fun fly, so bring some profiles or engines or whatever you have for sale. I know that those things go on anyway during a fly in, but just so you won't forget.

Default ChuckAuger...

I may be able to sneak out sunday...... daughters b-day is saturday at 1:30, I think my wife planned that one! (funny how they seem to know..) Pretty much out of combat for the time being. I've been playing with profiles for about ten yrs. now starting with the fun-fly HOTS built from plans(blah). Working on an old school Sudokoi at the present. Should be a hoot.

To everyone else: I have heard rumors of Chuck's margarittas....be afraid...be very afraid!! :stupid:

I need a date on this one. Is the date from that flyer? March 15? That's next weekend? isn't there a Bayport flyin coming soon as well? How far is Bayport from Scobee field?

It's the 15th and 16th of March 2003. More info at www.the******************.com

hmmm... don't know nothing about a Bayport fly in. I think Bayport is about 30-40 miles from Scobee on the other side of town. Actually further away from Austin.
I can guarnatee you however that we will have much more fun then they will ever dream of.
