Default Smartech Aerohawk?

I'm new to helis, but ever since I saw the Rotofly in a TH speedmart Ive wanted to get into the hobby. I've been racing and building all kinds of electric cars trucks and monster trucks, with a few boats for about 8 years now. Does anyone have the Aerohawk or any other micro heli that is good for a beginner? I have been told that an RC flight simulator was the best way to start. I'm hoping that there is one that is easy to fly so I don't have to spend $$$ on the simulator. I looked at the X-Rotation, and I don't really like it. Something like a Hummingbird or an Aerohawk would be awesome. Any recommendations? Is Smartech an alright manufacuturer? I also saw some COLCO helis, are they any good?

Thanks
