Default heading lock gyro

I understand the concept of what they do, but here my question, are they wroth the money? And how much easy does it make it to fly my Heli (Zoom 400). I’ve got a JR PCM9X remote and I’ve mixed it so it hold the yaw with increase/decrease throttle and I will be doing 3D flight once I feel component with my skills. I just need to justify the $300(AUS) for them

If you have already learned to hover, then a portion of the advantage that you would get form the HH gyro is gone. They make it easier to learn to hover. I cannot comment on 3D flight.
If you DO go with the HH gyro, the Futaba gy240 is a good choice.
