Default What 3D plane for Poulan 46?

I'm looking for a plane that will hover and 3D well
with a Poulan 46. Also if anyone knows, how much
power difference between a DA50 and the Poulan.
Thanks

Larry

I had one I was going to use in a Dave Patrick Edge 540 but sold it in favor of a ZDZ 50 for the weight savings. The guy I sold mine to was going to put it in a Wildhare Edge 540. I would think the Wildhare Edge or Extra would be a good choice or the new BME Edge 540. There is a guy on RCU here somewhere that has one on a Kange Texas Hurricane that he says makes a great combo.

I've got the poulan 46 in the TX Hurricane. I get 7000 rpm on a menz 20-10 prop. It hauls the plane well, but I sure a DA 50 would likely be stronger.

A scale aerobat around 27-28% or typically 78-80" wing should be a good candidate. About the size of the GP Patty Wagstaff. You can just about forget anything 3D if you keep the magneto ignition. Upgrade to CH Synchrospark and you will get a gasser with pretty good power to weight ratio.

I think the Poulan 46cc will fly the Wildhare 28% Extras and Edge, but they are a little larger than the other 28% birds. They are built to do 3D with a G-62 on elec. ign.

Thanks for the response guys. My Poulan is a Ralph
Cunningham built one with his ign. I'm thinging
about the new BME Edge or the Extreme Flight YAK.
I'd try the Wildhare, but I think it might be a little
too heavy.
