Default 200LBS of Torque Drill in a rock crawler??

I've always wondered how those drills have so much torque with such a small battery

200 ft/lbs of torque? No RC car does that.

My mom's Malibu doesn't even do that. I think it's more like lbs/in because that's what most drills are measured with.

Drills are rated in inch/pounds, not ft/lbs.

To the OP, what do you mean "little" batteries? Many of the 18v lithium batteries use the A123 batteries. In fact many people buy drill packs off of e-bay and disassemble them to make RC packs. I believe the ones that use ni-mh batteries use a sub C cell just like rc battery packs. So there's really no "little" batteries in a drill pack.

I remember an episode of Jesse James' Monster Garage where they took a figure 8 racer and converted into a full sized RC! They used a windshiled wiper motor for a steering servo run by a sprockedt and chain.

The morons, they used a stick radio instead of a pistol and wheel radio!
