spectrum receiver
I have a 450xl on the way and am wondering about receivers. I have the DX7 which came with the ar7000 receiver. Can I use this in the 450 or does it make a big difference to get an ar6100? I am just doing basic flight with my cpp, no 3d, just fff and loops and rolls. I expect to fly the same way for a while with my trex.

RE: spectrum receiver
You can use the Ar7000, or the 6100. If you have the 7000 that came with the TX use that. Only difference is less range on the 6 channel RX, and one less channel. Which unless you are flying scale or have retracts for gear, you wont use the 7th channel on the ar7000. I would not put the perfectly good 7000 aside, and go out and buy a 6100 if that's what you asking about.

RE: spectrum receiver
I just set up my buddy's 450XL with the AR7000 Rx. Mounted the main Rx to the very front of the frame on the servo box so it sits above the battery, and mounted the sattelite Rx on the side of the rear frame where those vent louvres are. Works fine.
