Default Prop for Moki 2.1 and OMP 540edgep

Like to know what size props you are using with the Moki 2.1 and the ohio model planes gaint 540 edge profile.
Need to have a spinner cut for prop.
Thanks
Scott

Default Prop for Moki 2.1 and OMP 540edgep

Hi Scott;
I just picked up a GS 540P yesterday and got to meet and talk to Mike. It was nice to be able to check out his plane in person. You hear 80" span and all that, but in person....wow!!
Read thru the other thread on the 540, there are a few guys running the 2.1 and lots of good info and some nice pics. I plan on running the Moki 1.8 myself, came across a good deal in the classifieds yesterday so Ill go with it.
I looked at the specs on the Moki 2.1 and they spec a 20X10 @ 7500rpm. That gives you a 70+mph pitch speed and ~26lbs of thrust. I dont know what a 22X6 would turn but your thrust would be way up and your pitch speed would be more realistic.

Of course it may not matter in the real world when you are looking at a 2++ thrust to weight ratio. A lot will depend on the style of flying you like.

I prefer the Zinger 22x6
With a higher pitch prop the plane doesn't want to land!
It's a floater by all means. You may just have to try a few for youself and see which one you like the best.
