Default Four Star 120 with Fuji 32cc & 2 Piece Wing?

I am looking at a 4 Star 120 for my next project. I have been reading
about the Fuji line of gas engines that are built specifically for R/C
use with their variable timing etc. The Fuji 32cc is only 2 ounces
heavier than a Zenoah 23.

Any one with some Fuji experience care to comment about their engines?
I would be brand new to Gas engines and like their appeal.

Also, has anyone had any sucess in building the 4 Star 120 with a 2
piece wing as it is pretty large for my car? If so, can you give me
some info?

Thanks for taking the time to read this post, I appreciate your input.

Cheers

Mike

Default Fuji 32

I have a Fuji 32 in a Pac. Aero Gee Bee Md.Y 82" ws. The engine performs great. Using an 18/8 prop. Runs very smooth. Low vibration and low idle. Will start by hand but takes about 10 times turning prop. I use a 120 size starter and it starts instantly. I really like it and so due my club members. Also muffler is nice and quite. John N

I built a 4Star 120 with a ST3000 a few years ago. Probably had about the same power as you're intending. I'd caution you about overspeeding the airframe. The wing is very flexible and I could see the wing twisting in the air with a lot of aileron throw. I'd suggest sheeting from the leading edge back to the spar, top & bottom, and adding tail bracing if you're going with this much engine. Great flying airplane BTW. Good luck.

Chris is right about beefing up the wing and bracing the tail. I have a 4-Star 120 with a Zenaoha 23. It has performed in our Air Show Team for two seasons. I don't recommend a two piece wing. I sheeted the leading edge to the spar and added cap strips and braced the tail. Very good flyer!
