Default Skip Mast C-130

Four of us decided to build the Skip Mast C-130 for our club air show team. We only have to plans, no building instructions. we have finished cutting out to foam parts and are ready to begin construction. We need ideas on: engine size (we want to used OS-LA 40s'), wing mounting, nose & main gear installation, are flap required, engine mount assembly joined to the wing, overall weight, and CG location. You can check out our progress on our club web site www.okbarnstormers.com. Any help will be welcomed.
Thanks
Rich

Quality Fiberglass has a copy of the S.M. C-130 with a fiberglass fuse and can also supply wing in three sections. Very nice. You can link to Bob Sealy at Quality FG through our club web site www.ucrcs.com
I'm almost finished with one that is electric powered....the electric part has been quite a challenge. Bob sealy has one with .40 4 stroke power. Skip Mast flew his with four junkie K&B .21's. I don't know how he got all four to run at once? He flew with and without flaps. You can get a reprint of his construction article through MAN plans.

What motors are you using on your electric version. I have the plans also, and have some parts cut out for it, but didn't go any farther because everyone said it wasn't good for electric unless I spent $1000 trying to power it.

Do you know anyone who has built the C-130 from S M plans? We have looked on MAN web site for these plans and construction article and didn't see them. Maybe we need to contact MAN. WE have seen the Top Gun video with Skip fly his 130, it looked like he had to fly it fast to keep the air speed up or keep the engines running. I think we can build it from what we have but we are concerned about weight and engine power. The knowledgeable crowd seems to think LA 40's are too much.

Any ideas or help will be welcomed
Thanks Rich

Thanks, Powellrc, I'll check with MAN direct about the construction article. If I can't get a copy, maybe you would make a copy of yours foe me. I would pay the expenses.
