Ramp Plans
Anyone know of a good place to get ramp plans?
I was at one of the parks here and had alot of people inquiring about the hobby and what rc's could do but the extent of any showing off consisted of out running a chow and a husky. I would love to get some people together and head to the park again but having a ramp would make it so much better.
This was the only plan I could find http://www.nitromonkey.com/rampplans.shtml Im looking for something a little more upscale.

RE: Ramp Plans
I guess taking a little more time to look I could have saved some time posting.
I found this http://rampplans.org/ramps/Gonzalo_Alonso_Jr/
Should I remove the lip and go half the size on length and keep the height?

RE: Ramp Plans
Here are some of the better ones I have found.
http://www.misbehavin-rc.com/pit-lane/ramp/g-ramp.asp
http://mvbashers.org/showthread.php?t=79 Just found this one in the forms here yesterday. Very detailed instructions and would be very easy to change to what you want.
http://www.bigsquidrc.com/projects/ramp.php This one is the most versitile and most expensive to build.
There are many more ideas and plans just in these forms if you search for them.

Well in this issue of rc car action, it shows you how to make a sweet adjustable ramp.... I don't know if you can pick up this issue but it's simple and very detailed on how to do it. [[link=http://www.rccaraction.com/rc/backissues/display.asp?issueid=R0607]RC Car Action Ramp[/link]

Is that the one with the two pieces of plywood, a hinge, and some chain between them? I built that ramp and love it.... light easy to pack in a car, and very simple. Only downfall is lack of underneath support. You can actually have the ramp slide when you hit it.

There are good links above already, the important things is you get the idea. You can design and build your own. My only suggestion is to make it wide and long with a good curve. I made my first one only 12 inches wider than my RC10GT. It was hard to hit at full throttle. Learned my lesson when only one side of the wheels where on the ramp and the other side missed it, the car went airborne spiniing, lost one front wheel - nuts were stripped, body mounts also stripped, and body mounting holes torn, and scratches all over the body, broken a arm and rear shock tower.

RE: Ramp Plans
We use the ramps you can buy at wal-mart for the bmx bikes . They are made out of plastic , very durable , water, fuel proof , and really fun when you stack two together . Backflips will give them something to see .
