Default Ram 1000 'plug open'... added picture

I have a ram 1000 that I've never run. Just installed it in a F15, went threw the setup, cycled the radio/ecu. Turned everything back on and the ecu flashes green for 1 flash then goes red and gives me the 'plug open' on the remote. I tried changing plugs to a new plug but I get the same reading. I'm also using a a123 for the ecu battery. I believe that you have to change the ecu battery size in the menu to 060???

Any ideas?

Thanks

try going back to a ni-cad setting with a ni-cad battery and see it the message goes away, if it does not then its most likely a hardware issue, if it does go away its most likely a setup issue.

I switched back to the nicad and it gives me the same reading....

Does this indicate a bad ecu?

Is it possible to bypass the plug reading and start the turbine from a glow driver?

I have a RAM 750 Plus with over 250 starts, and going to a FeiBao Hawk. I'm installing Lio-Manga. batteries. My ECU is the original one. BUT, when I called Carlos at RTI, the first thing he
asked me was which ECU was it. As soon as I told him, he oriented me that it should be a class 4 or 5 ECU. Those are the ones for the new batteries. So I sent mine for upgrading.

That's my .2 cents

Jon,
what did you do to fix the plug open issue? I'll be using A123 batteries on my ram 1000's and would like to know what needs to be done to get them to work properly.

It was my messup, not really a fix.. I kept getting the plug open on the screen. I plugged in another good plug but just grounded it to the turbine and tested it... It kept giving me the plug open. I finally decided to do it right and installed the good plug and it worked right. Evidently I wasn't getting a good ground. I did notice that I had to play with the plug lead for a second to get a good connection as well..

More or less I don't think that there was anything wrong other than the installer []
