Default Unable to access Pe's prop-power-calculator site.

I have been trying without success to access Pe's prop-power-thrust calculator site and am wondering if anything has changed in it's format why I can't gain access to it. Can someone please post a working link for me. Thanks

Karol

The fields that are password protected are not needed for user input. You can input your data in the green fields. The other fields cannot be selected.
I am open to, and welcome suggestions and data updates, but I do not wish to put all my hard work in the public domain. The sheet is free for all to use though. I even calculated ship's propeller predictions with it by increasing medium density and prop constant factors.

I do have the link just as you listed it and use to be able to download it myself, but now for some unknown reason a pop up screen requests a username and password which the system does not accept. Thanks to Meesh I have managed to store a copy of his download in my mail section.

It certaintly is a great tool for comparing various alternatives and Pe you are to commended for providing the hobby fraternity with such an excellent, user friendly and pratical calculator.

Easy enough to program one up for your self if we had the equation.

Troy,

What version of Excel are you running? I just opened the link with no trouble in 2007, and I have a downloaded copy which runs fine on 97 and 2003. If you want, PM me your e-mail and I can pass on my downloaded copy that i know runs OK.

"the equation" is all of the hard work Pe has put in quantifying prop loads and correlating theory and reality to come up with a very accurate and useful calculator. If it were simply an equation from a text book, many people would have done it years ago.

Many thanks to Pe for his work and making this available for free to all of us.

I wasn't meaning to belittle all the work put into it. I do a lot of spreadsheets and know what it takes to enter all the math functions and anyone that is willing to put in that kind of time and share it freely is what we call one of the "GOOD GUYS"

I understand. It's not the spreadsheet that was hard in this case (not that it was easy or quick...), it was all the bench testing to determine the prop load factors. They are the secret to getting good results and to get them, you need to bench run engines again and again with a big range of brands and sizes to get a decent sample to arrive at a good load factor.

Spreadsheet has been sent Troy, let me know if it works.

I saved a file to excel97 format. That should work for most. Excell 5 gave me reduced functionality.
