Alert! DF wiring harness flaw
When repairing my DF from its last crash, I noticed an exposed wire in my main wiring harness. At first I thought this might have happened because of the two hard impacts I have had. DFI said that they get these pre-assembled so after close examination, I noticed the following which now shows it is a factory flaw. One of the wires in this plug has exposed strands. I removed the wire to find that it had not slipped out of the metal connector because there were no crimp marks on the shielding. That is not necessarily a problem but the following is. There aren't many strands in this 26 guage wire to give it strength anyway. So if there is any stress on this wire from a hard landing or crash and it's not noticed it could be stressed further in flight over time and part thereby causing a crash from power failure. I tried to put heat shrink around it to strengthen it from stress but there is no tolerance for that extra thickness in the port. Below is a picture of the harness with the wire in a yellow box. Check your harness carefully!

SkyHigh,
that will not affect anything that you have describe. :> It won't make it "weaker". It's just a little sloppy, but again isn't anything to be concerned with.
