can you burn up a mirco with a 7.4 Lipo
Can you burn out your mirco helicopters tail motor with a 7.4 1.3ma lipo pack? I have the dual tail motor on my micro now and I am thinking of removing it due to making the tail to heavy. I would like to go back to a single motor.

Well I run mine with a 7.4v 1500mah and it still runs very well. The motor just gets hot that is why I got a heat sink.

Oh, 2 cell LiPo packs are extremely easy on the motors. This is lower voltage that a 7 cell NiMH pack that most birds were designed around. And lighter.
2 cell LiPo = Good
Possible down sides to 2 cell LiPo. It will not turn the motor as fast. Not much of a problem unless you are hanging extra weight on the heli, like a scale fuselage. It is lighter, so the head turns slower at hover. Slower head = less stability and less cyclic control authority.
Still, I like 2 cell LiPos a lot.

I think I'll be fine with the stock tail motor and my 2Cell Lipo's. I am using a 7.4 1050ma and 7.4 1350ma. I am still having trouble with hovering and this might make it easier without the added tail and nose weight.
