Default RE: leaf springs?

you could use the spring from the pull start of a lawn mower, or a gas weed trimmer depending on how hard of a spring you are looking for

Bottom of the page, they have 2 types [link=http://www.rcrockcrawling.com/index.php?cPath=60]Leaf Springs[/link]....If you are making them from scratch, you can go to any hardware store and get a pack of assorted springs. You would then have to use trial and error to get them perfect. If you were making them scale, you would have to bind thin strips of metal with solder or brazing techniques to make them work. After looking at the pictures on RCRC, if you see what I see, you could easily use those hair clips for chicks. You know, the ones that snap shut? They have the same type of arc.

Tell me that does not look like a leaf spring in the making? Huh?
