Buying a 1+ year old used car, what to look for?
Im picking up a buddies used tt-01d this week and as of right now everything is in good working order. however, what are some things that tend to wear and tear over time (owner had this for roughly 1-2 years) that i may be looking at needing to fix/upgrade after buying it?
might the motor need new brushes?
can the esc actually 'wear down'?
replace the ball bearings?
should i consider buying fresh battery packs?
any info would be appreciated. its a whole tt-01d ready to run with a 2.4ghz futaba system for $190, comes with 2 battery packs and a peak charger, along with a rx7 and wrx body. he upgraded steering components with all aluminum as well, which is nice.
thanks again [sm=thumbup.gif]

New brushes and new battery packs would be a good thing. You only need to bother with new bearings if they dont roll smooth or have a lot of play in them.
ESC's dont wear down.
