Cut a slot into the head of the screw with a dremel or similar tool. then you can use a regular screw driver to get it out.

when i got my slash i took off the spur cover to check to see if the motor was nice and tight . when i seen the flat motor bolts i said to my self man if i striped one it would be a pain to get it off so i switch to the common ones the had a head so if i striped one i could use my needle nose vice grip to get it to move

I just went through this on my Slash, as yakfish said cut a slot into the head of the screw with a dremel, then use a flathead screwdriver to take it out. It works great.
