i have stock t-maxx bulkhead which broke today while attempting a double backflip but didnt quit make it and nose dived in the the ground breaking my front right bulkhead. i will be ordering rpm bulkhead braces today and want to know what bulkheads should i get. and also i have a hole is my head pipe and want to know of a good head pipe also. dont know how that happened[&:] thanks alot to those of you that can help me out

Something I have found on my Maxx's over the years is that one or two front-end component upgrades will surely help but if you don't go all out and do it right, you will find the weak points fairly quickly followed by even further frustration.

As a rule, whenever you strengthen one component you have weakened at least one or two more.

I have three maxx's and they are all built using this same configuration, here's another pic of my race-maxx for show and tell ...and BTW, the RPM bulkhead braces work great.

Weel with the Bulkhead. My friends and I have gone through many of them. I had aluminum ones and bent them on a runaway into the curb so I switched back to plastic because it is alot cheaper. Plus the Hinge pins that screw are alot easier to change out. I got the upgraded Hingepins when i bought my bulkheads and when they bend they are a pain to get out(it took me about an hour to pull them out with vise grips and alot of muscle) It is up to you of course if you want to spend the cash just make sure if you get aluminum, it is 6000 grade or above. Usually the cheaper ones are a lesser grade but you get what you pay for.

Now on the pipe. I just bought and installed the Phantom 'Works" tuned pipe and it is awesome. My buddy has the Sirio Big Bore pipe and it is awesome as well. Th Phantom pipe is a little more(65 bucks on sale and the Srio is about 40) but I am smoke checking him off of the line and on the top end. I have heard the CVEC pipes are good as well. Get a Motor Saver filter if you haven't upgraded you filter also. I saw a great performance change after I got that and it was less than 20 bucks.

Aluminum bulkheads are the best way to go, imo. But with any bulkhead, it is best to use plastic a-arms, like RPM arms, because aluminum arms can break even aluminum bulks. Here is a post on the new RC Solutions aluminum bulks on rcnitrotalk:

thanks alot for your help but does somebody have a suggestion on a new header. the first part of the exhaust i already have installed a sirio big bore pipe a while a go and its awesome. but i broke the bulkhead and that made the shock tower bend and jab into the header which caused a huge hole and now it runs like crap. i think i might just go with the stocker again but if there is a better oen im willing to give it a try
