Default stinger vs. strut...advantage?

I am redoing my super G. It get a new zen260, new motor mounts, new 5" rudder, new radio and so on.
I do have the stock strut type aluminum drive but also have a new stinger drive, 1/4 both"
The boat currently have a clutch , but I may ditch it.

What would be the advantage of one or the other?

thanks

Personal preference mostly.
Usually you'll find that stinger struts need to be mounted higher as they're longer. Most end up as being set it and forget it whichever one that you use once you got them where they need to be.
