good deal! you could get $80-$100 on ebay for that pretty easy.
it has upgraded steering and prop shaft.
the motor is also an upgraded one.
you can get either drift tires-rally tires-street tires. any of the 3 will run you about $30 a set.

thanks again for the help, and I need a little more. and instead of starting a new thread I will ask here.

well, I got charger and tires/wheels, and it runs ok, but does not want to start rolling by itself , but I push it and it goes after that.

it turns fine, but the motor i guess is shot.?

so it's brushed, is there an easy way to change this? should I just get a newer brushed motor?

if I can change it to brushless, do I need to change anything else on it?

am I jumping to complusions on this setup too soon? should I clean the motor? get new battery?

I'm just not sure what the deal is.

I'm really a newb at this, but am trying to learn.

so any advise on what I should do with this chasis is greatly appreciated!

thanks in advance</p>

This is a good on road chassis and as mentioned you could run grip or drift with it. If it were up to me, I'd dismantle the entire car and rebuild it to ensure that everything works and to learn how to work on the car. If you find any plastic bushings during the rebuild, it's a perfect time to change to bearings. Tamiyas are easy to work on, the TT01 in particular. Could be something as simple as a small rock in the gear box causing the binding. As for the motor, it is rebuildable so even if it's worn out, it can be brought back to life.

Try taking out the brushes and cleaning them. Clean the commutator too. Check for wear on those. Brushes could be worn very short. Then give the insides a good spray with motor cleaner.
If that doesnt work, you can always buy another motor. They're not expensive.

Motor should be stiff to turn by hand thats normal sparxx, but like 13bt says check the brushes if you can open the motor can if there burnt/black they will need replacing etc

also do the wheels spin freely while the motors out/ if not its prob the diffs could be front or back so remove the prop and see which diff is blown[]

hopefully it will be a cheap fix it usually is with the TT ive owned 2 now for 2years hardly even lets me down ones converted to drift the other runs a no limit esc and 8t motor hauls ass!!!
And they can take a beating ive flew mine over 6ft spine ramps and ran then at 45mph into curbs and they always survive lol
enjoy[8D]

so, I've looked into things a little more, and have another question.

If I went and bought a nice new setup, like new esc, and motor(brushless), will it work with everything else I have? not including the battery.

and would I be able to put it into a truggy or offroad car older or new, if I decide to. alos what would be a good setup, to be able to change it and make it work

it is probably a very newb question,, but I think it will enlighten me alot.

Thanks again!
