Having trouble deciphering the many tamiya kits. Looking for a good kit. I'm leaning towards a good drifter. Is there a kit that does on road and drifting well? I've seen a kit that can rally off-road also. I'm not sure if I want a versatile kit, but I definitely want a good drifter. It doesn't have to come out of the box a drifter, but as long as I can make it that. It doesn't have to be tamiya, it could be HPI. What are the pro's and cons of Belt drive or shaft. I think I'm leaning towards shaft drive.
I know this is a million questions, I appreciate the help.

Tamiya has a lot of nice touring cars/ drifters. TL-series, TT-series, and TA-series.

TT series and TL series are shaft - driven 4WD cars. The TA series are currently now belt drive 4WD.
Try a TT-01 series for shaft drive, and TA05 series for belt 4WD.
TT series is for basic/ intermediate/ pro, and the TA05 series is for intermediate/ pro level skill.
