Default Warhead Evo Motors?

Hey guy's
I'm lookin at a couple different engines and i need some advice in the $120-150 price range, im considering a STS .28, Losi m26ss, Axial .28, Ofna force .28, or dynamite mach .26 or .28 any of these would go in a warhead evo. Not looking for insane power looking for more reliable and a little more powerful than the stock evo engine. Don't want something that will shred my tranny or CVD any help is appriated.

Thanks
Josh

The Mach in the LST2 should be perfect.

i put the mach .26 ss in my warhead it was great til the tranny took a crap for the 4Th time i see why they (druatraxx) put that whippie super kitten in this thing because they knew that the tranny sucked and can't take any real hp. plastic gears on the inside i dont know how anyone that has put big power in the warhead has been able to run it for anytime at all this is my 4th tranny they just dont stay together if anyone know of any upgrade for the tranny in the warhead please let me know but the mach .26 ss engine that i put in off my aftershock bring the warhead to life wheelies on demand for a block with wheelie bar but the tranny won't last long at all about 4 tanks is all i got out of it[&o]

I have a Axial .32 in mine with Proline beadlocks with Big Joes mounted. Mine is holding up good. Maybe you need to lossen up ypur slipper or adjust your clutch.

Have you run the engine, how fast does it go now. How easy was it to drop in. Any modifcatons required. I notice you still have the plastic spur gear. Are you going to put in the metal spur gear?

Yes i have run it just started breaking it in, got 3 tanks in it. It is insane this motor is sick!!!!! The super stinker has nothing on this motor it actually the motor from an lst and i can see why losi dropped it in the lst!!! It took no modifications just dropped right in. and no i do not plan to use the metal spur gear unless i have too. The metal spur gear is alot heavier than the plastic one and makes the trucks a little sluggish, so if i can get away with using the plastic one im gunna stick with it, plus i have like 5-6 of them laying around if the one on the truck goes. Another thing about this engine is it runs great it ran around 150-200 degrees!! It was only 200 when i started hammering it a little more and i believe it will hang wheelies once its broken in. best mod by far for this truck!!!
