T Max lurching when starting out!!
I just picked up a used T Max & it doesn't take off smooth rather it lurches & seems to need a lot of rpm's to start out. What can be going on here? I'm new at nitro machines & can use some direction.

This is normal for the tmaxx. The solved the problem by putting in the Forward only conversion. It costs about $12.00 and gets rid of all the jerkiness at low speed. Hope this helps.

T Max lurching???
Where do I get this conversion? This truck has a few modifications with a 3 shoe clutch. I don't know if the lurching will damage anything? Can I run it this way without major damage? I don't have the manual as it is being shipped next week & have no refrence info. Thanks for & I appreciate your feedback!!

You can run the truck without damage. The lurching is due to the clutch inside the transmission that control forward/reverse. You can pickup the FOC from Tower. Here is a link to it: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCNA8&P=7
Good luck.
Good luck.

It will eventually smooth itself out. This is completely normal. I have had my Maxx for about 6 months now, and it's barely even noticable anymore, and I still have my reverse in.....
