Default Mud and small puddles

How resistant is your average electric RCcar against mud and small puddles? Puddles of depths around an inch.
Ibought a Team CRacing TR02TB today and took it for a bit of a bash at the local track.. It was a bit wet though and I had a bit of an issue getting my second battery to work..... Iam not sure if the battery is not charged, I've unhooked the battery/turned off the ESC in the right order or accidently changed a setting on the remote (somehow?).... Worst case scenario is that I've short circuited the electrics with mud and water, but I don't think I've done that.....

usually they can take a splash or 2 m8 but stuck in water or muds a no go unless youve done some waterproofing first
plastic dip stuff works good or balloon round the esc and reciever etc dont worry bout the motor shouldnt have aproblem unless its a BL motor and not waterproof []

If any of mine do get submerged i stop and let them dry out properly saves damaging more parts then.

Hmm.. still not working. I think Imay have shorted the ESC with water..... I've taken it out and given it a good brush to get some dirt out of the PCB... Maybe it will be OKtomorrow.

I think Imight buy another one and keep this one for spares anyways..... What do you guys do, wrap the electrics in balloons/heatshrink/condoms or something??

And what about the cabling? Just elastic band it all off at the open end?
