Default F4 side fuel tanks

Hi

I am now building the tanks for the F4, but the side tanks have a boss in the underside (can take a photo when I arrive)

The question is:

Do the clunks in the side tanks go to the bottom of the lower side?

If yes how can the clunk move out from there when going in other position than level flight?

Regards

Nuno

Might help if you clarify what F-4 you are talking about!

Hi

Sure. It is the Skymaster big F4.

The length of the clunk line should be such that when you position the tank on it's aft side (as if the plane was climbing vertically), the clunk is about 1/4" from the rear face of the tank. (If you are using BVM fuel line inside the tank, you have to cut the line shorter (to give a gap of about 1/2" - 3/4" since BVM tubing grows in length due to exposure to kero.)

The clunk may not quite reach the bottom of the rear "boss".

Regards,

Jim

Thanks Jim

So, I guess that there will always be fuel inside the tank.

What's the under boss for? Maybe for fixing the tank...

Wow, you're using a P200

regards

Nuno
