Got A Problem, Experts HELP!
Hello,
I have an HPI RS4 2, and I just put a new engine in it, it was running great and then I shut it off to take a break, and i went back to start it and it started up and the engine just started running full throttle and went wild, i checked to see if the throttle was on idle and everything looks fine, whats the problem? Help!
some people say i have carborator problems, but i dont know what to do.
Thanks

yes i have found a leak, back where the pipe hooks on to the engine it wasnt seal off and it was leaking, why would this effect the throttle or the engine taking off like that?

Loosen the pinch bolt that holds the carb on. Then press down firmly on the carb to make sure that the o-ring has a proper seal. It may look like it is fine, but looks can be decieving. Then tighten down the backplate, sometimes it will come loose due to vibration.

it did the same thing you need to tighten throttle arm on your carburator. I got the new carb 2 months ago after a month the throttle loosen so the car went all crazy and I couldn't stop it.
do this: set your throttle arm to neutral and take a close look at your throttle arm then press your brake on your radio and throttle arm moves upward then its loose itsead of stopping it or take a close look on your hole(you know the one that is supposed to be set to 1mm on your carb) if the hole settings change a bit after you press the brake.
