Are they cheap AA's? Becuase duracell should last longer than 20 minutes. One option is to upgrade to lithium batteries which will really extend your battery life. The other option is to install a good 6 volt reciver pack. You should probably get at least a 1500mah battery pack. Hpi makes a 3000 for the baja but I dont know if it will fit in a traxxas case. Some other options are dynamite, reedy, integy, and traxxas. Here is a link to some. Also I believe you are stuck with hump packs if you want 6 volt nicad or nimh.

Trx 3034 switch assembly and a trx hump pack, you're golden. You'll need a charger too ifyou don't already have one. You won't believe the difference.I've never had a problem with the trx batteries, but there are lots of choices.

Non rechargeable batteries are 1.5 volts. Rechargeable batteries are 1.2 volts. So using AA's is the same as a 5 cell pack but without the run time.

I use Energizer 2450mah aa rechargeable batteries.I added a 5th battery to the outside of the pack to make it 6 volts and I also added a charge wire to eliminate removing them so much to charge. All my rc's are setup this way..I also use them in my transmitter too.Saves mealot of money that way
When you pulled the electronics you may of stressed a wire in the connectoror you could have a crystal thats going fritzy..Look over the wires and also make sure the battery holder isnt tarnished or gacked up..
All my extended version T-Maxxes also have the added benefit of having dual steering servos too....

Just making sure. And the Energizer lithium will run just as well as a 5 cell pack but when you bring price into the picture the lithium's are only better when dealing with very low temps. Also running multiple servo's is a waste unless its for looks or to control the front separate from the rear. Another benefit of a single servo is weight.

+1 on the twin servos. Waste of time IMO and a battery killer. I just think that any disposable battery is a waste because16 of those lithiumscan more than pay for the hump pack and switch. I can't stand changing batteries all the time.

Whatever man. Twin servos suck, why do you think every revo owner with half a brain goes to a single servo? BTW, that was MYOPINION. I have a right to my opinion and will always tell what my opinion is. Another thing, nobody's gonna say anything bad about any truck in an advertisement!

Hey T-MaxxxedOwt , The reason that traxxas vehicles sometimes have dual servo holes is because traxxas does not make a true high torque servo. Thus two are needed to move the larger tires. One good servo can out perform 2 any day. And if dual servos were so good why don't any of the touring cars, stadium trucks, mini's, boats, planes, helicopters, crawlers, large scale crawlers, and special purpose vehicles use dual servos? Because its a waste of power and weight. If your cheap and refuse to buy a good servo then you might need to use two junk ones. And none of the info was wrong in this thread so you have no right to call anyone out. Especially when your the one giving out 2nd rate info.
