With you all the way Dick.

BTW, It's good to have you back. I hope your health is working for you a little better than it had been.

Everything changes and I just had to change my lifestyle but all in all things are good
different -but good.
As long as flying is done within 50 ft - it is also good.

Pattern vs 3D is like comparing classical guitar to heavy metal. Completely different personalities and they don't often mix well.

yes AND no.

good 3d is well controlled and precise, just flown on the stall.
Pattern is the teaching grounds for precision flying, I am not saying you have to fly pattern to learn 3d. I myself am no pattern fan, but do enjoy the odd pattern comp as it keeps me looking to finding the precision required for so many other reasons.

there is uncontrolled 3d and then there is controlled 3d that also has a starting point and an end point

yeh but much of "3D' is done with stalled wings
Believe it or not a stalled wing is still working.
Ienjoy all this stuf and have found -to my surprise - the most fun is had with the micro stuff
(from 40 pound machines to 25 gram machines)
