BF34-EI arrived damaged
Hi.
I finally bought the BF34EI from USA but to my surprise the carburetor was damaged when it arrived []
A nipple seat is broken and the little piece was in the bag also.
This particular nipple is connected via hoses to the valve area and the crankcase.
Now it is a long way back so before i try to buy a new carburetor is there something that can be done (warranty etc)?
The engine looks new without any signs of abuse or fall (i can't spot even a single scratch) so i guess this must be a casting fault.
UPDATE:
Here are some photos.
It is evident from the fragment photo that someone hit with a screw driver the nipple seat from above and on the outside of the seat
probably while assembling or screwing in the cover because it is impossible to hit the nipple seat that way when the nipple is fitted OR
someone applied excessive force to make the nipple seat as the hole appears elongated and not circular in the 4th photo.
It is also clear that the nipple has not been hit as it does not have even a single scratch.
I am trying to repair the damage but i think that at least the cover along with the flange should be repaired under warranty
or send here for a quick repair.
Chris
