Default electric gearing help

I am running a B3
i have a 81 and 87 spur gear

18, 19 and 21 pinion

what should i run for proper gearing on my motor

16tripple and
17 double
thanks

some people say go up to like 21 on pinion others say go down to like 18

Default electric gearing help

Selection of gear ratios for electric motors is quite complex. You have to get it just right to avoid over amping the motor and yet get all the power you can from your set up. Do a search for "Motocalc" and download their free program. All the answers are in there. Write me if you need more advice. I do only electrics these days. [email protected]
