RX-18 in a Mato sherman?
Ok....I thought I had this under control. I was going to hook up a new RX-18 board to my Mato Sherman using its stock receiver, plug everything in, and go but NO! I tried that and some smoke came out of the receiver from a resistor. Ilooked again at the wiring from a diagram on here and noticed the ref. and gnd. were in the wrong spot so I swapped the wires on another receiver I had and tried again. This time I got a good pop from the green resistor on the receiver and a ton of smoke.
Why is this doing this? Do I need something else to hook up an RX-18 board? Aparrentally I will need 2 new receivers since I have 2 tanks Iam working on so what should I get?</p>

id say go with all HL electronics then it is compatible. even if you have the positive and negative wires connected to the right spots its possible that the voltage is different.

I see. After a little more research Ifound that same answer. The Heng Long board just won't jive with the Mato receiver. Next question; Does anyone have 2 of these withthe 3 pin cablelaying around they want to sell me? RCcommand, which is right here in TX, isn't answering their phone and I want to pick up some gear boxes from them as well.
