throttle/Brake questions on MGT
Just got my MGT running over the weekend , tuned pretty good. But i noticed a few things that im not sure if they are right or not.
Well first off im using 4aa batteries for my servos which i dont think are strong enough.
But anyway.
1) When i give my truck throttle, it doesnt really move untill the trigger is about 1/2 way in. It reves up but doesnt move.
2) Seems the brake drags but i dont have much brake at all. If im at a slow/med speed and i release the throttle the truck slows right down. If i hit the brake it slows down just a little faster.
Im not really sure what to do here. The book that came with it doesnt explain and i cant find anything on youtube.

RE: throttle/Brake questions on MGT
A 6V battery pack will obviously be a great improvement over what you are using, but I would say that the adjustment of your throttle/brake linkage is the main problem.
You do not need the engine running to set the linkage.
When you are operating the handset to full throttle the carb. slide should be fully open...in the neutral posistion it should be (slightly) pushing the carb. slide closed (against the idle screw)...when you pull the brake it should operate the brakes....adjust the linkage so this happens.
Some handsets have endpoint adjustments which can make the whole task easier.
