Default Cub

Need soem help. I have a 1/4 scale Super Cub that I believe is a N'Kon West brand. Is this right? I can't find anything on the web regarding this company. Perhaps I have it wrong. I'm trying to find out what the CG is. I used a Online Calc using the chord and W/S but have to ad a lot of weight to the tail to get it to balance. I'm using a Fuji 32 gas engine.

Thanks
Doug

Sorry to tell that Ikon 'nWst is no longer in business. Hope you can get the info from another modeler with this plane. A place to start is about one third the cord the wing cord or possibly the main spar.

I have the Sig 1/4 scale J3. Here is a link to some info and comments on it as well as general CG notes. Good luck. Mine flies great with a G23 on ECDI.

Put the CG 30% of the chord behind the leading edge. Those Fujis are very heavy and it's not surprising that you're stuck with having to add some tail weight. Here's an image of me and my Champ with tail weight. It flies great. Dan.

I wouldn't be too surprised if you had to add a little tail weight. The Fuji 32 weighs as much or more than many 50cc class engines. It probably won't bother the Cub any.

Thanks Guys. I have it balanced at 28% which is 4 5/8" back from LE. The main spar is 3.5" from LE. 30% is 5". I have been flying it at the main spar and it flew fine. Hopefully it will fly better at the new CG. Spaceworm your link does not work.
