Asp 52 cylinder irvine 53 cylinder
Hi guys managed to damage the piston liner and piston when changing my bearings in an irvine 53. Are they the same as ASP? as asp are cheaper

ive damaged a liner one time on an old OS engine 61 fsr abc.... i fireed it up and it ran just as good.... theres no telling how long it will run good...but i hardly use the motor any how. still does over 13k with an 11x7 apc

For your main question, no Asp and Irvine are not the same engines. Like was said in the other post, check with Just Engines there in the UK.

Hi!
All .40-.49 engines (except Rossi) use the same size rear ball bearings (28x15x7mm).
If that fits the Irvine ...don't know. But do not replace the bearing with what ever bearing you find!!!! Best bearings are the Swiss WIB (C4) bearings that we use in pylonracing. C4 means it has less play than "standard" bearings between the balls and the outer and inner surfaces, for less friction)

Its not the bearing ive damaged its the actual piston now has no compression long story but i know they were damaged and can get them for half price of the irvines
