Default One servo per aileron for TOC Ultimate?

I have a bunch of HS-7954 SH servos, each puts out over 400oz of torque on 7.4 volts. More than enough per aileron. Has anyone used one servo on this plane? Worried about aileron twost a bit here.

Ther are a few factors that can have one guy successful running a single where others won't be so lucky. The Ultimate has built up ailerons that can flex and flutter. If you have one that has been built with lighter wood then others, it would be a concern. Keep your gaps tight and I would suggest sealing them. Make sure your ball links have zero play and you use SWB aluminum servo arms. Lastly, do not exceed the airframes safe speed. IMO you are better off using two per aileron.

I 100% agree, however a local had a habit of doing full throttle blenders with his and fluttered the ailerons off it twice. This was with 2 sevos per aileron. he dicided not to buy a third one. in his case he felt that because it was so draggy and didn't build alot of speed down hill he could get away with it. I agree that by omitting the second aileron servo the OP would save $500.00 but I still feel the risk is too high.

In reality that is like refering Labron James as a rokie. This guy has lots of experience. He just liked to put on a good show. Even Sean Tucker flys his Pitts past it's intended performance. I would never treat an airplane like that but when advising someone on how to set up an airplane I tend to make suggestions that will eliminate the possibility of his next post being that of a crashed airplane.

I have been flying them for years with one servo per aileron and have had "ZERO" issues. Gaps are sealed and i use the highest grade of mounting hardware-pretty much bullit-proof. Of course-I fly mine in a realistic manner.

Good Plane!
