More pics

I just think it looks clean as hell now with the mid tank. Believe it or not the Tarmac Baja wheels actually weigh less than the Goliaths

The baja wheels i have are just a tiny bit smaller than the terra pins and goliaths and not as wide.

While running the truck today i noticed that the wheels are very slippery on asphault. The truck slides all over the place and just spins and spins. However on high speed runs these tires are perfect. NO BALLOONING and WOBBLING AT ALL !!! I would say that i picked up at least a mph or two on top end with them. The only thing i need to change is the angle of the tank. While braking the fuel moves forward away from the pick up, Under throttle its fine. So im going to reangle it to fix it. The mid tank lean is gone and the run time is almost 30min.

always wondered why HPI just don't move the tank themselves to that spot, and redesign the radios box a teeny bit

I used these boxes for my battery and radio

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1&I=LR6009&P=K
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXPZC1&P=7

I personally like the look of these two stacked than the CEN radio box or HPI rush box's Plus it keeps the shock towers clear and im not worried about crashing with them.

That's friggin sweeeet!

I'm starting to get more and more into my stock savage 25. It was barely used when i got it so it's practically new. I was eyeing some big bore shocks and to get a traxxas 2.4 ghz radio/reciever. I don't like the old clunky one mine came with.

What's the benefit of going to the longer chassis? Is it THAT more stable? Are the big bore shocks "out of the box" THAT much better than the stock 8 shocks on a savage 25?

I like the roll cage you came up with...nicely done.

How do you keep the body down? Looks like you cut the body away for the roll cage.

The big bores are a million times better than the stock 8 set up. There way more durable as well. Ebay has them for around $40 for a set. As for the XL chassis, i like because with a modded picco on X tvps it would be a wheelie monster. The longer chassis kinda evens it out a bit yet it still wheelies but not ALL THE TIME. Now with the new mid tank there it weighs the front down even more. However during my first trial with the new set up i didnt get a performance tune on it so i cant say for sure if it will still wheelie. Yes the Baja wheels are heavier but they weigh a little more than the terra pins. They do not weigh as much as the goliaths. However like i mentioned before there really slippery tires but AWESOME for high speed runs. For mounting the body... well i need to put the body post back in the shock tower and it will mount just like it normally would. The truck has takin some good rolls and the new bar is perfect, i wish i would have mounted it a long time ago, it would have saved my heat sink.
