Does anybody have a video on the new savage x 4.6 rtr for 2011? I have yet to see a good bashing video with the new big bore shocks. Do they last?

gotta love how they now supply with pretty much what you need to start your savvy, though i would still recommend you purchasing a hump pack

The new GT-3 body sucks major though, I much prefer the GT-2. The big bore shocks perform awesome on my two Flux's, never faultered even on big jumps. PLus, 4 less shocks halfs your shock maintenance. A win win situation, I wouldn't buy a Savage alone due to 8 shocks to maintain.

Maybe so, but it looks like they went backwards to me. It looks a lot the GT-1 to me. The hideous paint scheme isn't helping either. I pretty much can't stand most RTR paint schemes, but these are pretty bad even by RTR standards, IMO. I'm sure I will get a clear one see what it looks like with a different color.

Well, I got my savage and have had it for about a week. The truck is pretty stout although the electronics in it are garbage. I had the throttle servo go out after the 3rd day. Luckily I had an extra Traxxas waterproof servo to replace it with. My friend just got his and in 1 day his steering servo went out. It was a breeze to break in and tune. My runs at about 250 degrees which the manual says is dangerous but i researched it and some poeple run theres up to 270-280 degrees. Other than the electronics, this truck is pretty much invincible. I give it a 5/5.
