ok so first is first.. i had a old T-maxx when they first came out...
loved it..
modded it... had $1500 into it.. yeah i know.. way too much.. but i got rid of it to get my lifted (real) truck back on the road...

bud has been playing with rc heli's and im thinking of getting back in..

now I will buy used to keep it cheap - i know.. make sure it runs.. make sure things arent broke...

so since i know 0 about the newer maxx's

I plan on going .21 or .28 (they are new to me)

I have seen used on craigslist for $250-$350 RTR with mods and fuel...

so is there one to go with over the other considering it will get a big block anyway?

i loved when i converted my old one to the .21.. it just RIPPPED so much better....

If you plan on installing a true BB engine you will want to start with an aftermarket extended chassis setup.
Traxxas does not make a TMaxx chassis that will support/fit a true BB.

well my original tmaxx didnt have an extended oem chassis.. a guy sold me a kit (cheap too) that was mainly extenders and it worked great!!!!

but guess ill have to see.. still getting cash up... got my paintball molle vest (new), dslr lens and some other stuff up on craigslist... will see how quick...
