I'm looking on making a tmaxx 2.5 into a Emaxx, Don't really see any point in converting a tmaxx to electric, could be done, probably cheaply. you can pick up a Emaxx tranny and chassis pretty cheap on ebay if you watch for deals. You should be able to get all the parts (- the motor/esc/batteries) for less than $100. As for a Esc/Motor pick up a 150A hobbywing combo that thing will Tear @$$

I will personally vouch for the quality of the hobby-wing stuff, it takes a hell of a beating. but they are not water proof, they say "WATER RESISTANT" but you can kill em driving in wet grass
