Sabre BVM 60" - Tail pipe length ?
#2
RE: Sabre BVM 60
Mine is a dual wall pipe and the model is an early DF model with the turbine conversion kit.
The inner pipe and outer pipe are both 600 mm long.
As screwed together the outer pipe is about 8 mm further back than the inner pipe.
In other words the inner pipe protrudes 8 mm from the outer pipe at the front (engine end).
The outer pipe is also longer at the back at the top to follow the shape of the rear of the aircraft.
This extra bit, about a quarter of the diameter of the pipe, is an extra 20 mm.
Hope that helps, John.

RE: Sabre BVM 60
if it is a full bypass pipe, the stock BVM pipe measures 60.3 cm long on the outside, and the inner pipe is 59.1 cm long.
Tam makes a fabulous pipe for this jet...much quieter, and more thrust out the back end......
