ofna hyper 7 conversion?
my buddy just got a used ofna hyper 7.
looks in good shap, but he hasnt had the best of luck with nitros.
is there a brushless conversion kit for the kyper 7?
if so, who makes it or where i can find it.

center diff can brake it. Do it on my 2 CRT.5's, and x1 CRT so no worries there. The diff only will transfer power if you are applying throttle when you stop it will stop (or at most move 1/10th of a foot if a set of wheels brake traction)
battery tray they charge an arm, and a leg for why on my conversions I use cheap ebay stampede chassis's and cut them to fit. Might be able to use the Nexx 8's (with a few mods to the chassis) if he wants to only run 1 4S pack

Ok, so just buying the motor mount will work then?
the brushless motor will apply stopping force. will it reverse as well?
a battery tray could be fabbed up several ways i guess. I just thought maybe there was a complete kit out there.
would a VXL system be enough to power the hyper 7? Its kinda heavy, but i figure once you remove the tank/motor/throttle servo ect it should be lighter.
Also, what pitch is the spur?

the esc brake will stop the model
the esc brake will stop the model
spur 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure it is mod 1 (not 100% sure cause I don't own a hyper 7, but every 1/8th I own is mod 1)
and NO the VXL would fry. IMO 120A 1/8th scale ESC would be necessary with a 1800-2000kv motor on 4S

are you should tho that the vxl cant do the job. i mean, if its geared for 35mph on a 3s that should be fairly low gearing.
maybe the ezrun 80amp on 4s will do the job.

remember you are removing the nitro parts but the battery tray, batteries, esc, and motor will make the weight up
I think my jammin X1 crt is actually heavier after being made brushless than before.
