need help for sikk please!

Default need help for sikk please!

just replaced head gasket on sikk motor and had a real hard time getting piston back in but did get it. now motor will not start or even try to start. i even tried starting fluid and still nothing. i am getting a spark. anyone know why this might be did i break somthing that would cause this?

I'd suggest you pull the cylinder off and check that you got the piston ring in correctly and aligned the ring end gaps with the pin in the piston. (They should be toward the carb).



I am thinking that as you said you struggled that maybe you broke or damaged a ring and are now struggling with compression. Check the cylinder for marks too.

ok  i will look compression does seem good but it does not seem like its gettin fuel in the engine but i never even touched the carb

OK, pull off the carb and make sure that the isolator block is on the right way. There is a pulse port hole that must be matched up to the carb. Some isloator blocks will have "UP" marked on them, yours may not though. Easy mistake to do, been there. Even some misalignment in one of the gaskets will do the same thing.

ok ill check but i neverf even pulled carb off to change head gasket

What exectly do you mean by "compression does seem good" ? You probably f 'd up the ring when you installed it. I know because i've done it. Do you have a compression tester? Because if you don't, it might feel right when you crank it over, but it's not.
