Arrow Shark e-Starter Version III
Folks, I am seeking opinions and experience on the Arrow Shark e-starter version III. Does anyone own or seen one in use? How reliable and functional is this starter? Would like it in my mono but wouldn't want to splash a bunch of $$ if it is just a so-so add on. Thanks

RE: Arrow Shark e-Starter Version III
Been wondering the same about it.
Also wonder how best to power it, with one larger 14.4v battery or two smaller ones and just where to place them. Would be best to place batteries right at center of gravity and as low (deep in the hull) as possible. But would also be best to place batteries where they are easily removed to replace with fresh ones...

The version III is definitely better as it eliminated the 1 way bearing that always exploded in the original version. i powered mine with the 5000 NiMh RX pack and it worked just fine. You can use a 3S 11.1v 25CLiPopack if you want to and stuff it inside the radio box if you like.
Make sure you lock tight it intot the engine mount even better usea lock nut as it will get shaken off loose by the boatpounding on the water.

Viper thanks. I just sniped one off eBay and will give this an upgrade in my new build. Well noted and will loctite the bolts....
