Lets here about your maiden
So how did your maiden go.
Ali did the maiden on my Tomahawk 2.5m Futura at Markham Park, a couple of weeks ago.
Just a fewclicks of right aileron, was all that was needed for hands free flying, then the Futura grooved in its pattern.
Invereted flight needs lots of down elevator, but the CG seams OK.
Landing looked great, with Ali playing with the elevator to show it's pitch control, which was impressive.
Futura's third flight should go this week.

NO trim was needed, but after some canopy repairs (damaged during transit) It felt a little too nose heavy so I might just move batteries a little bit back from the nose. It is the best plane I have ever flown, I cannot believe how slow and predictable the landing are!
Now I'm in Britain and cannot wait to get home to fly the plane!</span>

Hey Pete,
So how does that color scheme show up airborne? Any issues differentiating top/bottom at a distance?
I have found that dark colors on the bottom are sometimes easier to see than light/bright colors.
PaulD
PS - maiden report will have to wait for a few weeks for me....

I maidened a new Classic Flash/ JC Rabbit 100 combo on the weekend, have 4 flights on it now. Maiden flight went perfectly even though I fly off a short 300ft field. Needed some elevator trim with the flap settings and that was it.
First Flash I've flown and I can't believe how much drag there is on the plane in the landing configuration with the nose pitched up. I anticipated a challenge scrubbing off the speed, the opposite is true, I'm carrying a fair amount of power on approach even though the field is short.
BTW, the Rabbit 100 is just a sweetheart of an engine
