Os Max 20
There were at least 2 variations of the OS Max 20. The first was the F series 20 and followed by the FP series
Prior to the F series they were 19's and had a black steel fin assembly , post FP did not see the 20 displacement made in any variation.
As to your question were they good runners, the answer is Yes!
Both of them were extremely reliable motors with good idling abilities. They are not ever to be confused as real powerhouses but they are really steady, reliable, great motors to own and run. The FP was popular for the combat boys for awhile and you'll see them on EBay regularly bringing prices of up to $85.00 for a new example.
The older one is also a desirable motor with the vintage C/L groups.
Yes you have a very good motor take care of it and use good fuel with decent oil and don't over prop it. 9/5 props and fuel with 18/20% oil will give you great run. Dennis
