Powerbox yes, no, maybe???
Hi All,
I'm working on a jet and have a question about the need for a powerbox? First off I plan on using for the first time a Fromeco dual switch, Do I need a regulator if I plan on using 6.6 Life batteries? Also, I'm using (8) Hitec 7955 digital coreless servos on all surfaces, With this setup is there a need for some sort of powerbox or distributor? I will be using a Futaba R6014HS RX.
Thanks in advance for your continual help!

Well the powerbox has its own dual switch and regulator. You can use ion or a123s with, that's the thing about powerbox its all in system. If you want to use a123s u can just run them straight with just a switch on a receiver now powerbox needed.
You really don't need anything with life packs just a switch.

@Fender, Thanks for the info!
@Pete, Thank You! BTW-I was looking at your Hawk for sale, I was really close to taking it off of your hands, but I bought a different one..I didn't want to spend the extra $600 in shipping

rcpete347 Hi,I have two questions. Will you be at Kentucky jets this year? And what are your thoughts on the new power box gyro that just came out?

RE: Powerbox yes, no, maybe???
I think the gyro is cool since a lot of jets seem to have that high speed wag to them, however I hate powerbox prices. Im big fan but spending $1100 for two powerbox systems for my new jets just isn't worth it for me anymore. Going to be switching to robbe stuff I think, its still high priced but im going sbus anyway.

RE: Powerbox yes, no, maybe???
Well I hope to see you this year.I dont know anything about the power box other than what I read(no operation experience)Jet International April/May 2012 wrote nice intro on the Specktrum AR 12200"cockpit".These total system package units seam to be the way to go than all the seperate sub systems.Nice to know your flying mutiple jets with no issues.I am also new to model turbine jets and also own a few.So I am very interested in these new system set ups.Jetfan thanks for asking your question,maybe we all can all learn more from those who using these sysrems and how they like them.
