That motor is a little small for 3DFoamy kits, I recommend a 370-400 size preferably.

Hi Jeff,

My Foamy Mayhem or Foamy Disc would be a good fit for your motor. The Disc has been very popular for its durability and hovering capabilities. Not many flying wings (disc or delta shape) can hover with any authority and they just spin around as soon as the plane is in a true vertical hover. The Disc has "3D" Tabs to overcome the motor torque while the wing is unloaded (pointing straight up).The Mayhem also has good durability, but will do a lot more maneuvers like knife edge loops. Both designs will handle a lot of wind. Up here in Ontario you are likely to find a Disc or Mayhem flying when it is too windy to fly the dirty birds.

That first one looks like a VTO

Yes it looks like a VTO, but it is very different in other ways. The same way an Extra 300 sorta looks like a warbird. The foamies are both disc shape planes but fly very different.

The Foamy Disc is 5oz flying weight with a 50 watt motor. It is much more durable. Many people have flown them straight into the ground while under power with only a broken prop to show for it.

The 3D tabs make a real difference to flight performance. At minimal flight speed there is still full pitch control enabling much slower flight.

I do not advertise (yet), but I always sell out at shows and 80% of people that try a Disc or Mayhem end up buying one.

The VTO is a good design in its own right. It all depends how you want to fly.

Oops, old thread...

I have a Twisted Hobbys/RC-Factory Edge 540. Their 32" size models are perfect for the Park 300.

This is not me and my plane, but a 32" plane with Park 300:
